In those days it was very short the part of the beach where the life of the beach was set, now that the pioneer tourism is done, "The velvet beach" is appreciated by all the Europeans tourists for its golden delicate sand and for the clear sea (has been given by "European blu flag" in 1987, 1997 and 1998). Symbol of this beautiful beach is the "Rotonda", marine platform that since 1933 was the centre of intriguing evenings of dance and delightful afternoon (now is restoring).
